Some people don't know as they mostly just use computers, so the people who do know need to educate them on these things. Viruses can be programmed into most anything. My husband is a retired systems programmer so he knows a lot about the stuff and has told & taught me some, never any end to what a person can learn about computers as something new is being developed all the time. He is still learning and trying to stay up to date on the stuff. He told me about 1 person who was fired from a company he worked for and before he left he had programmed a virus into their computers which opened 6 months later and shut the computers down. After a lot of damage to their files and computer system and the time & work finding it, the IBM troubleshooters finally found and cleaned it up. It had been named to mimic an IBM program which made it hard to find. Which proves a virus can be named after about anything or implanted into anything to allow it to go through into people's computers.
My 82 year old aunt told me that if people would stay away from computers when they were sick the computers wouldn't get a virus. LOL I still don't think she understood when I told her that a virus is a computer program that people send or upload to destroy a computer, as she didn't understand how computers work having never used one.
